Dear Friends and users of the Gwynns Falls Trail & Leakin Park –
This will be the last week to see Art on the Trail 2008, our 7th annual environmental art show that starts at Winans Meadow and travels up the new portion of the trail to the northwest. The park is open from 8 AM to dusk so come explore and be sure to come to:

Saturday, November 22, 2008 from 1:00-3:00 PM
(Rain date: Sunday, Nov. 23, same schedule)
Location:
Winans Meadow and Trailhead #2 in Gywnn’s Falls Park
4500 Franklintown Road Baltimore 21229
Program:
Guided art and park history tour at 1:30 and 2:30 PM;
Participate in art projects; Make your own paper sun dial
Go on a nature scavenger hunt; Play a lawn game;
Enjoy music by Woody Lissauer (http://woodylissauer.com/);
Make music with sound objects found in nature;
Meet wild creatures from the Carrie Murray Nature Center;
Last chance to enjoy the Art!

A guide and map to the art installations can be found in a box at the fence in the parking lot or on the sign board on the way to the bridge. Below is the map of the exhibit:

Welcome to the blog for the 7th Art on the Gwynns Falls Trail.

We are all very excited to use the blog format to more consistently update the information and news about exhibition and Trail events. We will post announcements, events & photos from the Trail and Park here, and check back regularly for spotlights on specific sculptures and artists from this years show.

This year we have over 20 sculptures in the show and a variety of special installations and activities scheduled for the opening celebration and other events throughout the fall.
